Waves of Creation

“Rue is the Herb of Grace.  Since ancient times and in many spiritual traditions, both Christian and Pagan alike, Rue has been burned to dispel negativity, protect from evil and to invite grace and blessing into a space.  I named my line of dolls Rue Magic Dolls because, indeed , the act of creation is ,for me , a grace filled experience and I hope the energy of the process becomes part of every doll.”

Madeline Beaudry is a local artist living in Richmond.  After 17 years of working in clay she transitioned over time almost exclusively into fiber.  Her dolls and other objects are created from a variety of materials with multiple techniques . 

“As a trained herbalist I try to incorporate herbal concepts into my work.  The seasons, the sacred directions, the garden, -everything around us is an inspiration.  I particularly like using objects right from nature to create something beautiful like the Moonstone Goddesses or the Magic Brooms.
